Bandipora, 29 Jan: Scores of employees working under Sakshar Bharat Mission (SBM) in education department on Tuesday held a protest in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district to demand regularization of their services and release of pending salaries.
The protestors raised slogans and marched from Nishat Park to mini-secretariat Bandipora. The employees said they have been working under SBM with the education department from last seven years but their services have not been regularized yet.
One employee Sameem Murtaza said that, "their salaries have also been withheld from past three years even as their services have been utilized from time to time".
They appealed to the governor to personally look into the matter so that their future is secured. The protestors later submitted a memorandum at the office of Deputy Commissioner.
