Srinagar October 18: Stating that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to take moral responsibility for the killing Zahid Rasool Bhat of Batango, Anantnag who succumbed to his injuries in a Delhi hospital, Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) president Hakim Mohammad Yasin today asked the CM should resign.

While strongly condemning the barbaric act, Hakim Yasin in a statement to press said, “The Chief Minister has failed to protect the citizens of the state and he should take moral responsibly of Zahid’s killing and resign.”

He also asked the government to take strict action against those elements who want to spread communal hatred in the state. “Such elements should be dealt with iron hands so that such incidents are not repeated in the future,” Hakim Yasin, who is MLA Khansahib demanded.

“The incident must act as an eye opener for the present dispensation that is yet to act against the forces who are hell bent to fragment the society on communal lines,” he said while appealing the people to maintain calm for the larger interests of the pluralistic identity of the state.

Hakim Yasin extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
