JK Women’s Team Clinches Bronze at All India Tennis Ball Cricket Championship

Jammu, July 31: The Jammu and Kashmir Women’s Tennis Ball Cricket Team secured the bronze medal at the All India Tennis Ball Cricket Championship held in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from July 28 to 30, bringing laurels to the Union Territory.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, the Jammu and Kashmir Tennis Ball Cricket Association said the team finished as the second runners-up after delivering consistent performances against strong teams from across the country.

The team was captained by Heena Bhat under the guidance of coach Faizan Qayoom, while Mehbooba Gul served as the team manager.

Congratulating the team on its achievement, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Tennis Ball Cricket Association, B.K. Tickoo, described the bronze medal as a proud moment for the Union Territory. He congratulated captain Heena Bhat, coach Faizan Qayoom, manager Mehbooba Gul and the entire team for their dedication, discipline and sportsmanship, expressing hope that the achievement would inspire more young girls to take up tennis ball cricket.

The Association also appreciated the efforts of the players, coaching staff, officials and supporters for their contribution to the team’s success. It reiterated its commitment to promoting tennis ball cricket across Jammu and Kashmir and providing greater opportunities for talented players to compete at the national level.

The Association extended its best wishes to the team for future national and international competitions.
