Shopian, July 27: Eight security personnel, including one Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel, were injured after a BP bunker vehicle of the CRPF’s 178th Battalion rolled down on the Wachi main road in the Zainapora area of Shopian district on Monday evening.
Officials told Kc that the vehicle, which was deployed at Police Post Wachi, Zainapora, lost control and rolled down onto the main road.
The injured have been identified as Insp. Shivender Mani Tripathi, SI Rakesh Kumar, HC KM Deepak, Constable Dulal Jaina, Constable Papu Ram, Constable TN Hakib, and one J&K Police personnel. The identity of the eighth injured person is yet to be ascertained.
All the injured were immediately evacuated to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Zainapora for treatment, officials said.
