Bandipora, June 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Bandipora, has expressed concern over the non-release of Children Education Allowance (CEA) in favour of a large number of teachers working in Education Zone Hajin.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, JKTF Bandipora said that despite submission of complete claims and fulfillment of all required formalities, many teachers have not yet received their legitimate CEA dues. The forum said the delay has caused financial hardship to the affected employees, particularly at a time when educational expenses continue to increase.

The forum stated that the Children Education Allowance is an important welfare measure aimed at assisting employees in meeting the educational needs of their children and that delays in its disbursement defeat the purpose of the scheme.

District President JKTF Bandipora, Sajad Ahmad Wagay, urged the concerned authorities to take immediate cognizance of the matter and expedite the release of all pending CEA claims of teachers belonging to Education Zone Hajin.

He also appealed to higher authorities to intervene and ensure that deserving employees receive their dues without any further delay.

“The teaching fraternity expects timely settlement of legitimate claims, and JKTF Bandipora remains committed to pursuing the issue until justice is delivered to all affected teachers,” Wagay said.

The forum reiterated its demand for the immediate release of pending CEA claims and called upon the authorities to address the issue on priority.
