Bandipora, May 26: In order to take firsthand appraisal of preparations for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib on Tuesday visited EidGah Bandipora to review the arrangements being put in place for the smooth observance of the festival.
The visit was aimed at ensuring that all necessary facilities and arrangements are in place for the convenience of the devotees expected to participate in Eid prayers.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the overall preparedness at the venue and took stock of sanitation measures, drinking water facilities, electricity supply, medical arrangements, traffic management and other essential services.
The DC also interacted with civil society members, Auqaf Committee members and local representatives, and took feedback and suggestions regarding the arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha celebrations. She directed the concerned officers to ensure all necessary arrangements and stressed upon coordinated efforts among departments for hassle-free and peaceful celebrations of the festival.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Tehsildar Bandipora, officers of various departments and other concerned officials.
