BUDGAM, May 09: In a major breakthrough against the illegal drug trade, the Drugs Control Officer of Sub Division Beerwah, Peerzada Tasaduq Hussain, seized 7,770 capsules of Pregabalin 300 from the possession of a medical representative at Magam in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Officials told Kashmir Convener the seized consignment is estimated to be worth ₹3,24,940 in the market. The accused was apprehended during the operation carried out by the Drugs Control Department at Magam.
The authorities described the seizure as a significant success in the ongoing crackdown on the illegal distribution and misuse of pharmaceutical drugs in the region.
Further investigation into the matter is underway to ascertain the source and intended distribution network of the seized capsules.
