GHS Plan Nowpora Holds Anti-Drug Rally in Bandipora

Bandipora, May 6: Government Girls High School Plan Nowpora on Wednesday organised an anti-drug rally under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, with participation from students and staff members.

The rally commenced from the school premises and concluded at Gulshan Chowk in Bandipora. Participants raised slogans and displayed awareness messages highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and the need for a drug-free lifestyle.

According to officials, the initiative aimed to sensitise the community, particularly youth, about the risks associated with drug addiction and to encourage collective action in addressing the issue.

Students and staff members actively took part in the rally, engaging with the public along the route to spread awareness. The programme concluded with participants taking a pledge to stay away from drugs and promote awareness within the community.

Officials said the rally was part of ongoing awareness efforts under the campaign to address substance abuse through educational institutions and community outreach.
