Awantipora Police Hold Awareness Programmes’ at Srinagar International School Pampore, GHSS Khrew

PAMPORE, April 21: Continuing its efforts under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, Police Awantipora organized an awareness programme at Srinagar International School, Patal Bagh Pampore.

During the programme, SHO Pampore, Inspector Khalid Fayaz, addressed the students and staff, highlighting the harmful effects of drug abuse and its serious impact on individuals, families, and society at large. He urged the youth to stay away from narcotics and adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.

The session focused on sensitizing students about the dangers of substance abuse and encouraging them to act as ambassadors in spreading awareness within their communities.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, reflecting a strong commitment towards building a drug-free society.

In a separate event, as part of the ongoing campaing, an awareness programme was successfully conducted at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Khrew also, to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

The programme was attended by SDPO Pampore R.P Singh and SHO Khrew, who interacted with the students and staff. They highlighted the serious physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse and emphasized the importance of staying away from drugs.

Students were encouraged to become ambassadors of a drug-free society and to spread awareness among their peers and communities. The officers also urged them to focus on education, healthy lifestyles, and positive activities.

The initiative was well received by the school administration and students, who appreciated the efforts of Police in promoting a safe and drug-free environment.

Awantipora Police reiterates its commitment to continue such awareness initiatives across the district to curb the menace of drug abuse.
