Bandipora, April 4: Former Minister Usman Majid on Saturday expressed concern over the condition of the Sumbal–Bandipora road, citing prolonged traffic congestion and infrastructure issues.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, Majid said commuters are facing hours-long traffic jams and difficulties due to poor road conditions and what he described as mismanagement. He alleged that the administration and the traffic department have not adequately addressed the situation, resulting in inconvenience to patients, students, transporters and other daily commuters.
He stated that despite repeated public complaints and growing concerns among residents, no effective steps have been taken to ease congestion or improve the condition of the road.
Majid urged the concerned authorities to take immediate measures to streamline traffic movement, carry out necessary repairs and ensure proper regulation to prevent further inconvenience to the public.
