Convener News Desk

Bandipora, April 1: Advocate Nazir Malik, Constituency In-Charge National Conference for Bandipora, on Tuesday expressed concern over what he termed continued neglect of key public issues in the constituency and urged the administration to act with urgency and accountability.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, Malik said that Bandipora continues to face challenges including poor road connectivity, frequent electricity disruptions and gaps in healthcare facilities. He alleged that developmental concerns have not received adequate attention owing to corrupt representatives who are fulfilling their self-designed goals.
He highlighted the prolonged delay in restoring proper road connectivity between Bandipora and Srinagar, stating that it has caused inconvenience to daily commuters, students and patients.
Malik also raised the issue of erratic power supply, alleging that unscheduled power cuts, particularly during peak hours, have added to public hardship. He called upon the concerned departments to ensure stable and reliable electricity supply in the district.
Expressing concern over healthcare services, he pointed to the lack of specialised doctors and essential medical infrastructure at District Hospital Bandipora. He said that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental requirement and should be prioritised.
The Constituency In-Charge urged the administration to take immediate steps to address these issues. He also appealed to residents, particularly members of the intellectual and youth community, to raise their concerns collectively and seek resolution of pending developmental matters.
“Silence is no longer an option. Collective efforts and public participation are key to ensuring justice and development for Bandipora,” Malik said.
