Convener News Desk

Jammu, March 27: The International Human Rights Organization (IHRO) on Friday announced the immediate dissolution of the Board Members and the entire Management Team of its Jammu and Kashmir Chapter, citing alleged complaints of unprofessional conduct and administrative irregularities.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener, Nem Singh Premi, Founder and Global President of IHRO said the decision has been taken after multiple complaints and internal disputes within the chapter, including self-claims and declarations of dual presidency, which it said adversely affected the integrity and functioning of the regional unit.

The IHRO stated that the lack of professional management practices and poor communication among board members contributed to what it described as a breakdown of organisational structure and discipline. As a result, the existing board and management team of the Jammu and Kashmir Chapter have been declared “null and void” with immediate effect and until further notice.

The organisation clarified that all registered members of the Jammu and Kashmir Chapter will continue to remain valid as general members of IHRO. However, all appointments, designations and roles assigned within the chapter stand revoked with immediate effect.

It further directed that all activities, events and programmes under the IHRO Jammu and Kashmir Chapter are strictly prohibited until further notice. The press release stated that any violation of the directive would invite legal action, including a lifetime ban from the organisation.

Nem Singh Premi, Founder and Global President of IHRO, said the organisation remains committed to transparency, accountability and professionalism across its chapters and will take steps to restructure and strengthen its presence in Jammu and Kashmir.
