Hajin, March 19: The Indian Army organised an Iftar gathering at the Manasbal Army Camp on Wednesday, bringing together local residents and representatives from different sections of society.

Held during the holy month of Ramadan, the event aimed at strengthening ties with the local population and engaging with them on community issues and traditions. Despite inclement weather, the gathering witnessed significant participation from the area.

During the interaction, discussions were held on local customs observed during Ramadan, the general well-being of residents, seasonal migration of Gujjar and Bakarwal communities to upper reaches, and matters concerning fruit and wood trade.

Collective Namaz was offered under the guidance of a cleric present on the occasion.

Participants appreciated the initiative, describing it as a positive step towards fostering mutual understanding, harmony, and cooperation between the Army and the local community.
