Wular Battalion Hosts Iftaar Party at Paribal in Bandipora

Bandipora, March 18: The Indian Army’s Wular Battalion on Tuesday organised an Iftaar gathering at its Paribal Battalion Headquarters in Bandipora, with over 300 participants, including civilians and media representatives, attending the event.

According to officials, the gathering was held as part of outreach efforts to engage with the local community during the holy month of Ramadan.

Participants from different areas within the Battalion’s area of responsibility attended the event.

The programme began with the breaking of the fast, followed by interactions between Army personnel and attendees.

Officials said the event provided an opportunity for participants to meet and engage in discussions in an informal setting.

During the gathering, attendees shared the Iftaar meal and interacted with Army officials, discussing various issues and exchanging views.

Officials said the event facilitated communication between security personnel and members of the local community.

Officials said such initiatives are aimed at strengthening coordination and maintaining engagement with the public.

They added that community outreach programmes are conducted periodically to build trust and encourage cooperation.

Participants included representatives from civil society, local residents and media personnel. Several attendees said the event provided a platform for interaction and exchange of ideas.

Officials noted that engagement programmes during occasions such as Ramadan help in maintaining communication and understanding between different stakeholders in the region.

The Army said it will continue to organise similar events to support community engagement and outreach in its area of responsibility.
