Wullar Battalion Felicitates Women Achievers in Bandipora on Int’l Women’s Day

Bandipora, Mar 7: Marking International Women’s Day, the Indian Army’s Wullar Battalion organised a special programme in a private School in Bandipora to recognise and honour women achievers from different parts of the district.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local women, students, teachers and several prominent women achievers and civil society members.

During the programme, a number of women who have made notable contributions in fields such as education, social work, entrepreneurship and community development were felicitated by Army officials in recognition of their dedication and efforts.

Speaking on the occasion, Army officials emphasised the importance of empowering women and encouraging their active participation in all spheres of society. They praised the resilience, talent and determination displayed by women in the district and reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote women’s empowerment and community development.

As part of the event, a motivational film highlighting the role and achievements of women in the Indian Army was screened for the audience. The film showcased inspiring stories of women officers and soldiers serving the nation with courage and dedication, encouraging young girls to pursue their aspirations and contribute to society.

The programme also provided an opportunity for interaction between Army officials and members of the local community, where participants shared their experiences and views on issues related to women’s empowerment, education and leadership.
