Ayesha Begum, Grandmother of DIPR Employee, Passes Away

Bandipora, Feb 21: Ayesha Begum-grandmother of Rouf Bashir Sofi, Junior Assistant, Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) passed away on Saturday afternoon. She was 92.

         A large number of people from all walks of life including journalists and colleagues of Sofi participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased at her ancestral graveyard in Onagam Bandipora. She was laid to rest at her ancestral graveyard later after Asr Prayers.

         Kashmir Convener expressed grief over the demise of Ayesha Begum. Editor-in-Chief Sheikh Saleem expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul. He along with other journalists also participated in the funeral prayers of the deceased.

Several political, social, and religious leaders have expressed deep condolences over her demise, describing it as a great loss to the community. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

Meanwhile the District Information Office Bandipora has condoled the demise of the grandmother of Rouf Bashir Sofi.

         A condolence meeting of officers and officials of the office was held under the chairmanship of District Information Officer Bandipora, Aadil Manzoor Wani.

         The District Information Officer expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise and extended heartfelt sympathies to Rouf Bashir Sofi and his family during this difficult time. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

Meanwhile, the officials of the District Information Office Bandipora also expressed profound sorrow over the demise and conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family, praying for peace to the departed soul.
