Kishanganga Power Station organises free medical camp in Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 10: Kishanganga Power Station, NHPC Limite stationed in Bandipora on Tuesday organised a free medical camp on Tuesday at Government Primary School, Check Mantrigram under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) 2025–26 initiative.

An official spokesperson said the camp was inaugurated by Head of Project (HOP) and General Manager (In-Charge) Rajesh Ranjan, who formally opened the event by cutting the ribbon.

Senior officials including S.P. Rath, Deputy General Manager (Electrical), Arun Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Civil), Manishkant Gaurav, Group Senior Manager (HR), along with other officials and a large number of local residents were present on the occasion.

During the camp, the medical team of the power station, led by Dr Kundan Lal, Group Chief Medical Officer, and Dr Romana Hamid Wani, Senior Deputy Chief Medical Officer, conducted health check-ups of around 200 local residents. Medical consultations were provided and essential medicines were distributed free of cost to the beneficiaries.

Officials said the initiative aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services in the area and was well received by the local community.

Residents appreciated NHPC’s efforts and urged that such medical camps be organised regularly.

The Head of Project assured continued commitment towards community welfare and healthcare support in the region through sustained CSR initiatives.
