The board also reported that 11 students have been placed under eligibility dispute, 33 faced examination cancellations, and four have been disqualified for one year.
A JKBOSE official told Kashmir Convener that the results reflect steady academic improvement. “The overall pass percentage has shown a positive upward trend, indicating better academic preparedness and evaluation,” the official stated. Last year’s Class 10 pass percentage was around 79%, and in 2023 it was approximately 80%.
JKBOSE Chairman Ghulam Hassan Sheikh congratulated the successful candidates and commended the efforts of teachers and school administrations. “The performance of students across both government and private institutions reflects their hard work, resilience, and academic discipline,” he said. He further advised students to remain focused on their future goals, emphasizing that “education is a continuous journey.”
Education Minister Sakina Itoo also extended her congratulations to the successful Class 10 and 12 students, describing the outcome as a “major achievement” and a reflection of the government’s commitment to education.
She noted that 70,735 students appeared for the Class 12 examination, of whom 59,435 passed—a pass percentage of 84.02%. “The marginal difference between the Class 10 and Class 12 pass percentages reflects consistent overall performance,” the Minister observed.
Minister Itoo highlighted that the results were declared on time, even ahead of schedule in some cases, enabling students to proceed without delay toward higher education. “The timely declaration of results ensures that students’ academic careers are not affected,” she said.
The board has advised students to collect their detailed mark sheets from their respective schools in due course.
