Jammu, Jan 10: Police on Saturday recovered three smartphones during evening raids conducted inside the High Security Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, officials said.
Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, the recovered devices include two Redmi smartphones and one broken Samsung handset, all found without SIM cards during routine checking inside the jail premises.
They said the recovery has raised serious security concerns, and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain how the prohibited items were smuggled into the high-security prison.
Police said further investigation is underway. (KNC)
