Western Command Concludes Exercise RAM PRAHAR, Showcases Advanced Combat Readiness
Haridwar, November 22: The Indian Army’s Ram Division of the Kharga Corps successfully conducted Exercise Ram Prahar (रैम प्रहार), a major integrated all-arms manoeuvre aimed at validating the Army’s transformation into a modern, agile and technology-enabled force.
The exercise was inspected and validated by Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, in the general area of Haridwar on Saturday.
The large-scale drill highlighted the Army’s growing emphasis on operational agility, multi-domain integration and real-time decision-making across land, air and cyber domains. Officials said the exercise is reflective of a posture of enhanced preparedness, deterrence and strategic assurance amid an evolving and fragile regional security environment.
In the run-up to the main exercise, the Ram Division carried out a series of battle drills and validations of tactics, techniques and procedures. During the exercise, armoured, infantry, engineer and aviation elements executed coordinated operations in a dynamic battlefield setting. The Army also deployed next-generation platforms, integrated ISR capabilities, AI-enabled decision support systems and network-based command and control tools, demonstrating its adaptability to complex, technology-driven warfare scenarios.
Exercise Ram Prahar reaffirmed the Indian Army’s resolve to remain resilient, innovative and future-ready, underscoring the synergy among its various arms and services and its strong connect with the people. Officials noted that the exercise serves as a subtle yet firm reminder of India’s capability to safeguard national interests and maintain regional stability through constant preparedness and professionalism.
