Kashmir Convener Sub-Editor Bereaved, Grandmother Passed away

Bandipora, Nov 10: Syeda Haneefa Begum, mother of Moulana Fayaz Ahmad Shah, Teacher of Arabic Literature at Dar ulu loom Rahimya and grandmother of Kashmir Convener Sub-editor Mariyam Fayaz, passed away on Monday after a brief illness. She was 85.
A large number of people from all walks of life participated in the funeral prayers that were led by Hafiz Hidayatullah Mir Qasmi, brother of Moulana Rehmatullah Mir Qasmi, rector Dar ul uloom Rahimya Bandipora. She was laid to rest in her ancestral graveyard at Khayar.
People from all walks of life including religious scholars, students and locals have expressed condolences with Moulana Fayaz Ahmad Shah and expressed deep sorrow over the demise and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
Rector Dar ul uloom Rahimya Moulana Rehmatullah Qasmialso expressed condolence with Moualana Shah and prayed for patience to the bereaved family.
In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener from Dar ul uloom Deoband where he is currently on a visit, Moualna Qasmi prayed for the departed soul, “May Allah grant the departed soul maghfirah (forgiveness) and the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdaus, and bestow patience upon Maulana Fayaz Ahmad Shah, his brothers, and other family members. Ameen,” reads the statement.
Meanwhile a condolence meeting was also held at Kashmir Convener office in Srinagar under the chairmanship of Editor in Chief, Sheikh Saleem and was attended by staff members, reporters and journalists.
They expressed grief over the demise of the grandmother of Mariyam Fayaz and prayed for the departed soul.
