Chuntimullah, June 13: Government Higher Secondary School (HSS) Chuntimullah Saturday organized a day-long conference on Astronomy and the Scope in Astrophysics, aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and awareness among students about space sciences.
An official spokesperson said various schools from across the cluster were invited to participate in the event. The programme was chaired by the Principal of HSS Chuntimullah, Malik Waseem Raja, who, in his inaugural address, highlighted the significance of such events in shaping students’ understanding of space and opening new avenues for career opportunities in the field of astrophysics.
The day featured multiple sessions that included expert lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on training. Students were introduced to practical demonstrations related to the rotation and revolution of celestial bodies. Motorized models were used to vividly explain complex astronomical concepts such as the solar system, elliptical orbits, and seasonal changes.
Distinguished faculty members, including Zahoor Mehdi, Ishfaq Rashid lone , Attaullah khan, Sajad Ahmad , and Afreen delivered insightful lectures on various aspects of space science, enriching the participants with their knowledge and experience.
The event was anchored and coordinated by Dr. Yasir Ali, Lecturer in Physics at HSS Chuntimullah, whose efforts ensured the smooth execution of the programme.
The conference was well-received by both students and faculty, and it concluded with a renewed enthusiasm among young learners to explore the vast and fascinating world of astronomy.
