Indian Army Organizes AYUSH and Veterinary Camp in Remote Balmatkote, Reasi

Reasi, May 2 :Continuing its outreach to underserved areas of Jammu & Kashmir, the Indian Army organized a comprehensive AYUSH and Veterinary Camp at Balmatkote in Reasi district. The initiative provided essential medical and veterinary services to residents of remote villages with limited access to healthcare.

Teams of Indian Army doctors, AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy) specialists, and veterinary experts delivered services including general health check-ups, free medicine distribution, AYUSH consultations, livestock treatment and vaccinations, and awareness sessions on hygiene and well-being.

More than 425 locals, including members of the Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, and 235 livestock benefited from the camp. Villagers expressed deep gratitude for the Army’s continued humanitarian efforts and its commitment to community welfare in some of the most challenging terrains.

The initiative underscored the Army’s ongoing efforts to build trust, ensure well-being, and strengthen bonds with citizens in remote areas.
