Hajin: In a poignant display of solidarity and mutual respect, a Felicitation and Thanksgiving Ceremony was held at Ajas camp to honor the heroic rescue efforts of villagers during the SK Payeen tragedy.
The event, organized to acknowledge the support of the locals towards the Army, witnessed active participation from villagers, community leaders, and military personnel.

Officials said the gathering celebrated the collective spirit of cooperation and the deep-rooted trust that has strengthened ties between the Army and the people over the years.
Brigadier Vipul Tyagi, Commander of 3 Sector, lauded the residents of SK Payeen and nearby areas for their steadfast partnership in fostering peace and development.
“This bond between the Awam (people) and the Army is a testament to how mutual respect and harmony can drive sustained progress,” he remarked, emphasizing the significance of such relationships in ensuring the well-being of the region.
The villagers, in turn, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Army’s relentless efforts in community welfare. These include initiatives like infrastructure development, medical camps, and educational programs, which have significantly uplifted the area.
Local Bashir Ahmad highlighted the Army’s role, stating, “The Army has always stood with us, whether in times of crisis or for the development of our community. This event is our way of thanking them for their dedication and support.”
Officials said the ceremony not only honored the bravery of the villagers but also strengthened the enduring partnership between the community and the Indian Army, reinforcing a shared vision of peace and prosperity for the region.
