6467 quintals free rice provided to 43111 beneficiaries under PMGKY amid COVID-19 lockdown in Kargil
KARGIL APRIL 16, 2020: To facilitate the availability of ration and other essential commodities to people throughout the district in view of the COVID-19 outbreak, the District Administration Kargil has been taking concrete measures to ensure that people do not face any inconvenience during the ongoing lockdown.
In this connection, a total of 12950 beneficiaries were provided with 1943 quintals of free rice under Priority Household (PHH) /Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) in the district with 15 kgs free rice for the month of April, May and June, 2020 at the scale of 5 kgs per soul per month under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) in 3 blocks of the district here today.
With this, starting from 8th April, 2020 till date, 6467 quintals of free rice for 3 months were provided to 43111 beneficiaries of PHH/ AAY in 15 blocks across the district under PMGKY.
