Indian Army recovers 5 Rifles, 7 Pistols in Karnah near LoC

Karnah, March 28: Army on Sunday evening claimed a major success as one of its units stationed in Karnah near Line of Control (LoC) recovered huge cache of ammunition.
An official said On the night of 28 March in a specific intelligence based joint operation by Indian Army and JKP, five AK Rifles & Seven Pistols with a host of magazines and ammunition were recovered.
The operation was conducted in very close proximity of the line of control in Dhani village which is under direct observation of Pak Army posts in Lipa Valley.
“Such operations conducted by the security agencies along the line of control inspite of Pakistani domination is re-assuring and makes us feel safe”, official quoted locals as saying after the commencement of the operation.
"Security agencies and civil administration in Karnah Tehsil continue to work hand in hand to negate the security threat to the people in the Union Territory of J&K. In the last two years, a total of 16 weapons & over 50 KG of narcotics has been recovered from Karnah," officials added.
