4 Kashmiri detainees set free on UP CM’s intervention: JKSA
Srinagar, Jan 01: All four Kashmiris, including a woman, who were detained for questioning by the police in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur district as part of a vigil during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to adjoining Ayodhya, have been released.
Nasir Khuehami, National Convenor of J&K Students Association said that, Association took up the matter with the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's Office immediately after their detention. Khuehami stated that all four have now been released, and no case has been registered against them. The SHO of Kotwali Thana and SP Sultanpur have informed Khuehami about the development.
Meanwhile, the J&K Students Association highly appreciates the prompt action and effective intervention of the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's office when contacted about this matter.
The families of the released people express their gratitude for the proactive intervention and compassion shown. This incident has reinforced our faith in the principles of justice, they said.”
