30 Motorcycles Seized in Special Drive by Traffic Police in Pulwama-Shopian

Pulwama, Mar 23: Traffic Police Pulwama-Shopian on Sunday carried out special enforcement drives across several locations in Pulwama district, with particular focus on accident-prone stretches, under the supervision of DySP Traffic Mushtaq Ahmad.

During the operation, nearly 30 motorcycles were seized and later deposited at various police stations and posts for safe custody as part of preventive measures, officials told Kashmir Convener.

The drive also saw action against multiple traffic violations. Fifteen motorcyclists riding without helmets were fined on the spot, while five riders were booked for triple riding. Additionally, ten passenger vehicles were penalised for carrying excess passengers.

Traffic authorities reiterated their commitment to strengthening road safety enforcement and appealed to commuters to strictly follow traffic regulations to help prevent accidents and safeguard lives.
