3-Day Training of Trainers conducted by EDII Ahmedabad concludes at JKEDI
Bari Brahamana, Mar 05: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Wednesday successfully concluded a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) conducted by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad.
The program, conducted through online mode from March 03-05, 2025, was attended by 139 officials of the institute placed at JKEDI campuses of Sempora, Bari Brahmana and district centres. The training program was aimed at enhancing the knowledge and pedagogical skills of faculty members to strengthen entrepreneurship education in the region.
The ToT spanned over the topics like Entrepreneurship Development Theories, Processes and Practices, Training Methods and Content Design, Project Management Fundamentals and Components, Selection of Potential Entrepreneurs, Business Model Canvas, Marketing Management with special reference to Digital Marketing, E-Commerce and AI in business growth. Topics like preparation of Business Plans, Mentorship and Counseling were also discussed in detail.
The training programme was coordinated by Dr. Prakash Solanki, Assistant Professor, EDII Ahmedabad with sessions delivered by Dr. Raman Gujral, Professor and Director, Department of Projects, Dr. Piyush Sinha, Senior Visiting Professor, Prof. C.H Pathak, International Entrepreneurship Coach, Dr. Sheetal Thomas, Associate Faculty, Dr. Pankaj Bharti, Associate Professor and In-charge WRO, Ms. Debopriya Chakraborty, EDII Ahmedabad. The programme was held under the overall supervision of Dr. Sunil Shukla, Director General EDII Ahmedabad and Sh. Rajinder Sharma (JKAS), Director, JKEDI.
The distinguished experts and faculty from EDII Ahmedabad shared insights on modern teaching methodologies, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, and best practices in capacity building. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, case studies, and hands-on activities designed to equip them with cutting-edge tools for fostering entrepreneurial mindsets among students.
In his remarks, Dr. Prakash Solanki, Assistant Professor, EDII Ahmedabad said that despite challenges JKEDI is doing a good job for the betterment of the entrepreneurial culture of the UT of J&K. He acknowledged the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by the participants and reiterated the support of EDII in facilitating similar initiatives in the future to further strengthen entrepreneurship education in Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Director JKEDI, Sh. Rajider Kumar Sharma expressed gratitude to EDII Ahmedabad for their support in enhancing faculty competencies. He emphasized the importance of such programs in creating a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. “This program has been instrumental in equipping our faculty with the latest strategies and best practices in entrepreneurship education, which will significantly benefit aspiring entrepreneurs in the region,” he remarked.
