DC Bandipora Inaugurates Dardpora-Rangdaji-Shamthan-Zulbal Road Project

Bandipora, June 26: In a significant step towards strengthening rural infrastructure, the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, alongwith DDC Member for Arin, Ghulam Mohiddin Rather, on Thursday inaugurated the newly completed Dardpora-Rangdaji-Shamthan-Zulbal road, bringing a long-awaited boost to road connectivity in the area.

The 3.5-kilometre stretch has been macadamized under NABARD’s RIDF-XXIX scheme at an estimated cost of ₹4.30 crore. The road will directly benefit the residents of Rangdaji, Shamthan, Zulbal, and inner links of Dardpora, improving access to education, healthcare, and markets, while significantly reducing travel time for daily commuters.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner termed the project a vital development milestone for the area and appreciated the efforts of the executing agencies for ensuring quality work.

He emphasized that rural road connectivity plays a pivotal role in uplifting economic conditions in remote areas and reiterated the district administration’s commitment to infrastructure-driven inclusive growth.

On the occasion, locals expressed their gratitude to the administration for fulfilling a long-pending demand and thanked the Deputy Commissioner for his hands-on approach and continued monitoring of developmental projects across the district.

The DC was accompanied by DDC Member for Arin, Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Rather; ExEn R&B Bandipora, Tariq Hussain Ganie; AEE Shahid saleem lone; JE Mohammad Iqbal Raina, locals and other senior officials of the district administration.
