DC B’la finalizes arrangements for International Yoga Day; directs officers for smooth conduct

BARAMULLA, JUNE 16: In connection with the upcoming International Yoga Day, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired a meeting here to review and finalize the necessary arrangements for the main event of International Yoga Day scheduled to be held at Helipad Ground Baramulla.

During the meeting, DC directed all concerned officers to ensure adequate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the event. He emphasized wide public participation, and instructed departments to raise awareness about the importance of Yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being.

Key arrangements discussed included sanitation, drinking water, seating, medical aid, security, transport and logistics. DC stressed inter-departmental coordination and timely execution of responsibilities.

Officers from the Youth Services & Sports, Health, Education, Information, Police and other line departments briefed the DC on their preparedness for the day.

The main event on June 21 will witness participation from officers, students, athletes, NCC/NSS cadets, and local citizens, all coming together to perform Yoga and spread the message of healthy living.

DC urged all departments to ensure flawless execution of duties and make the event a grand success across the district.
