Srinagar, June 14: Fatima Tu Zohra, a talented student of Gopi Singh Rathore Army Goodwill School Bandipora, has brought laurels to her school and district by excelling in the Kashmir Province Senior Men and Women Chess Tournament held at Indoor Stadium, Srinagar on June 13, 2025.

Competing against some of the finest players from across the valley, Fatima demonstrated remarkable strategic skills and composure well beyond her years, earning her a coveted selection for the upcoming State-Level Chess Championship in the same category.

Notably, Fatima has already secured her place in the National-Level Chess Championship in the Under-13 age category, making her one of the youngest and most promising chess talents from the region.

Her recent achievements have sparked widespread praise from teachers, relatives, and the local community. Faculty members at her school hailed her discipline and dedication, calling her a role model for other students. Friends and well-wishers, impressed by her sharp game and calm focus, dubbed her a “future chess star of India.”
