Fresh Snowfall: 85 km Long Bandipora-Gurez Road Closed

Bandipora||  The 85-kilometre Bandipora-Gurez road has been closed due to snowfall at Razdan Top.
Razdan Top, the mountain pass connecting Gurez Valley with Bandipora district in North Kashmir, recorded snowfall at an elevation of approximately 12,000 feet on Saturday morning.
OC BRO Avinash Kumar confirmed to Kashmir Convener  that the Bandipora-Gurez road is closed due to snowfall and low visibility at Razdan. “Snowfall still continues and road will be opened once snowfall stops,” He added.
SDM Gurez Dr Mukhtar Ahmad said that due to snowfall at Razdan top & adverse weather as a precautionary measure, movement on the Bandipora-Gurez road has been suspended until further orders.
Officials have advised commuters to avoid travel on this route
