Jammu, May 29: Amid ongoing challenges and uncertainty, the NCC cadets of the Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh (JK&L) NCC Directorate continue to set a shining example of courage and readiness.
An official spokesperson said to enhance their preparedness and practical skills, the 8 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, under the guidance of NCC Group Headquarters Jammu and the JK&L Directorate, conducted a comprehensive training session on May 29 for 55 cadets, four Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), 51 college students, and 15 teaching and non-teaching staff of PSPS GCW Gandhinagar.
The event was organized by the Civil Defence Organisation Jammu, operating under the Directorate of Home Guard, Civil Defence & SDRF Jammu. The training involved theoretical instruction on mock drills, followed by hands-on sessions covering mass evacuation procedures, first aid and CPR, and firefighting techniques.
Further exemplifying their commitment, NCC cadets also took part in drills at the Military Hospital Satwari. There, they received training on triage, casualty management, and ward duties. In a remarkable act of service, many cadets also donated blood during the exercise.
