Pampore, May 29: A free mega medical camp was held on Thursday at Khankah Aliya Namblabal in Pampore’s Saffron Town area, Pulwama district, organised by the Auqaf Diagnostic Centre, a unit of Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust (IAIT) Pampore.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with Amandeep BR Medicity and saw a large turnout of local residents seeking medical aid.
A team of doctors, including orthopedic specialist Dr. Syed Shehnawaz and general physician Dr. Parvaiz Malik, attended to around 215 patients during the camp. Attendees received free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, and medicines. Blood tests were also conducted on-site, officials informed Kashmir Convener.
Mohammad Sultan Shah, Secretary of Idara Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore, told Kashmir Convener that the primary goal of the camp was to extend essential medical and diagnostic services to underprivileged sections of society who cannot afford healthcare. He noted that the camp was specially organised to support poor families by providing free check-ups and medicines.
The day-long camp was staffed by the two doctors and other medical personnel who ensured comprehensive medical attention. Shah added that IAIT Pampore regularly organises such free medical initiatives. Recently, the Trust conducted a free eye camp, and after Eid, plans are underway to hold a blood donation camp in Pampore.
The Trust reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of the community and expressed its resolve to continue offering such services in the future.
