MLA Bandipora Inaugurates Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Laharwalpora

Bandipora, May 28: MLA Bandipora Nizam U Din Bhat on Wednesday inaugurated an Ayushman Arogya Mandir (Health and Wellness Centre) at Laharwalpora in Bandipora district.

The newly constructed facility, developed at an estimated cost of ₹40 lakh, aims to provide essential primary healthcare services to residents of Laharwalpora and adjoining areas.

Speaking at the inaugural event, the MLA highlighted that the health centre was previously operating out of a rented building.

With the establishment of this dedicated facility, residents will now have access to free medicines and diagnostic services. He further added that necessary medical equipment has been installed to conduct primary health tests, ensuring better and faster healthcare delivery.

“This sub-centre will now function in line with national standards, providing quality services to the local population,” said Bhat. He also emphasized that the availability of trained staff and essential medical services would significantly improve public health outcomes in the area.

The inauguration was attended by local health officials, community leaders, and public representatives, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing rural and semi-urban healthcare delivery under the Ayushman Bharat mission.

Vice President District Development Council Kounsar Shafeeq and BMO Bandipora were also present on the occasion.
