PAMPORE, May 20: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Pulwama on Tuesday organised a massive Tiranga Rally across multiple locations of Saffron Town Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district to commemorate the success of Operation Sindoor, a counter-terrorist operation hailed as a significant achievement by the Indian security forces.
The rally witnessed overwhelming participation from BJP workers, local leaders, and residents, who waved the national flag and raised patriotic slogans such as “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” “Operation Sindoor Zindabad,” “Indian Army Zindabad,” and “Jammu Kashmir Police Zindabad.” Marchers moved through various parts of Pampore, uniting under the tricolour to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the security personnel.
The rally started from the BJP office at Drangbal and culminated at the BDO Office Pampore.
The event was led by BJP District President Pulwama, Er Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi, who was joined by senior party leaders including District General Secretaries Nisar Ahmad Bhat and Mohammad Asif Ganaie, Vice Presidents Manoj Pandita, Pushpa Wangoo, and Mubeena Akhtar, and Spokesperson Anjli Koul, among others. Several youth leaders and grassroots members also participated actively, marking a robust show of support.
Speaking to Kashmir Convener, Er Syed Showkat Gayoor Andrabi said,
“Today’s Tiranga Rally is a tribute to our brave soldiers who delivered a strong and fitting response to the enemy during Operation Sindoor. We salute the martyrs of this mission. The people of Pampore stand firmly with our security forces. Operation Sindoor has only paused — any future threat will be answered with even greater resolve.”
He added that BJP is holding such Tiranga rallies nationwide, including in every district, constituency, and block, to celebrate the operation’s success and honour the armed forces.
“After Pampore, similar rallies were held in Pulwama town, Kakapora, and Darsara on Sunday, and more are planned in the coming days,” he said.
The rally underscored BJP’s growing grassroots presence in South Kashmir and highlighted its commitment to the ideals of nationalism, unity, and development. The event resonated deeply with the people, reinforcing solidarity with Indian forces and the broader national sentiment.
