Poonch, May 7: Indian Army’s Romeo Force Wednesday conducted a medical patrol in the villages of Dhanna and Kashmiri Mohalla in Poonch district.

As part of the outreach, the patrol not only carried out its primary function of area domination but also included a Company Medical Representative, who conducted basic health check-ups and distributed essential medicines to the villagers.

The initiative focused on addressing immediate healthcare needs and promoting overall well-being among the residents of these far-flung communities.

An official spokesperson said this humanitarian mission reaffirms the Indian Army’s commitment to serving the nation beyond the call of duty.

By bringing medical aid to doorsteps in isolated regions, the Army continues to strengthen its bond with the local population and uphold its ethos of solidarity and care.

The initiative was widely appreciated by the residents, who lauded the Army’s role in supporting community health in regions where access to medical facilities remains limited.
