Jammu, April 30: A warm farewell ceremony was organised on wednesday, at the Battalion Headquarters of JKAP-8th Battalion, Miran Sahib, Jammu, under the overall supervision of Suram Singh, (SSP), Commandant JKAP-8th Battalion, to honour the retiring officers who concluded their service upon attaining the age of superannuation.
The retirees who were honoured included ASI Madan Lal, ASI Bishan Lal, HC Ram Prasad, HC Sukhvir Singh, HC Chuni Lal, HC Vijay Kumar, and Follower Darshan Lal. On the occasion, their commitment, discipline, and valuable contributions to the department during their years of service were fondly remembered and appreciated. Officers and jawans of the battalion extended their best wishes to the retirees for a healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life.
The retiring personnel were also reminded of their continued responsibilities towards the department and the civil society even after retirement. The event witnessed the participation of Shri Bhupinder Singh, Dy.SP (PA/LO/BHM) of JKAP-8th Battalion, along with other officers and officials of the unit.
As a gesture of appreciation, each retiree was presented with a welfare gift amounting to Rs. 1 lakh. The farewell concluded with the retirees being honoured with flower garlands and gifts, and were ceremoniously seen off by their comrades.
