JKTF Organises “Education Conference” to felicitate retiring Teachers in pampore

Pampore, April 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF), Zone Pampore, on Monday organised an education conference at Government Middle School Drangbal to honour retiring and retired teaching faculty members who have rendered decades of dedicated service to the education sector in the zone.

An official spokesperson The event served as a tribute to educators who have devoted their lives to the cause of teaching and nation-building. Those felicitated included Farooq Ahmad Mir (Ex-Headmaster, HS Barsoo), Mohammad Rafiq Shah (Ex-HOI, UPS Andrusoo), Mohammad Shafi Mir (Vice Zonal President JKTF Pampore/Teacher, HS Zaintrag), Mohammad Akram Bhat (HOI, GMS Khrew), Mahmooda Ji (Teacher, GMS Drangbal), and Abdul Rashid Bhat (Ex-Master, HS Zaintrag).

“These teachers have displayed exemplary dedication, commitment, and professionalism, shaping the lives of countless students,” said Bilal Ahmad Wani, Zonal President JKTF Pampore, while speaking to Kashmir Convenor.

The conference was attended by several senior JKTF leaders, including Chairman Mohammad Shafi Rather, Vice Chairman Javid Ahmad Malik, UT Chief Organiser Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Ex-State President Afzal Bhat, General Secretary Hamidullah Tramboo, Provincial President Javid Bhat, and District President Pulwama Ghulam Hassan Mir. A large number of teachers, retired officials, and members of the educational fraternity were also present.

Mementos were presented to the retiring teachers as tokens of appreciation, led by the Zonal President and forum members. Emotional tributes were paid, with speakers praising the honourees as role models who had inspired students and colleagues alike.

The conference also marked the formal introduction of a newly expanded zonal organisational structure, formed after recent unification efforts within the forum. The new office bearers were felicitated in the presence of the JKTF leadership.

In his concluding address, JKTF Chairman Mohammad Shafi Rather called upon all members to maintain organisational discipline and work collectively for the welfare of the teaching community and the strengthening of the forum.

The event concluded on an emotional and hopeful note, celebrating the contributions of retiring teachers and welcoming a rejuvenated union structure for the future of education in Zone Pampore.
