Indian Army Organizes Awareness Lecture on World Malaria Day at Hasplot and Mastandhara

Rajouri, April 26, 2025: Reaffirming its commitment to strengthening bonds with local communities, the Indian Army organized an awareness lecture on the prevention of malaria at Hasplot and Mastandhara to mark World Malaria Day. The initiative aimed to educate school children and locals about malaria, its risks, and preventive measures.

A total of 113 individuals — including 83 participants at Hasplot and 30 at Mastandhara — attended the awareness sessions. The lectures highlighted the significance of World Malaria Day and emphasized the importance of community awareness in combating the disease.

During the sessions, a representative of the Indian Army explained how malaria affects the human body and outlined key preventive practices to protect against the life-threatening disease. He urged the attendees to adopt preventive measures diligently, stressing that through collective action, the spread of malaria can be effectively controlled.

The initiative was warmly appreciated by the local community, with many acknowledging the Army’s efforts to reach out to remote areas where civil administration services are often limited. The event not only enhanced public health awareness but also further strengthened the trust and bond between the Indian Army and the people of Hasplot, Mastandhara, and adjoining areas.

Officials said this outreach program once again underscored the Indian Army’s dedication to nation-building and its commitment to the welfare of the citizens it serves.
