Bandipora, April 24: In a strong display of solidarity and condemnation, the Jammu and Kashmir Local Pensioners United Front (JKLPUF) and JK Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Bandipora unit convened an emergency meeting at their central office in Naz Colony on Wednesday to denounce the brutal killing of innocent tourists in Pahalgam.
Core group members, including the presidents of both organisations, Mr. Lone and Mr. Rafiq, unanimously passed a resolution condemning the heinous attack. They termed the massacre as an inhuman and barbaric act that has shaken the conscience of every peace-loving citizen.
The gathering expressed profound grief over the loss of innocent lives and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Members emphasized that such acts of violence have no place in a civilised society and must be condemned by all sections of the community.
Calling for collective efforts to restore peace and uphold communal harmony, the group urged people to stand united against forces attempting to disrupt Kashmir’s age-old traditions of brotherhood and hospitality.
The meeting concluded with special prayers led by Niyaz Sahib (Ex-ZEO), seeking strength and patience for the affected families and peace for the souls of those lost in the tragic incident.
The members reiterated their commitment to peace, justice, and unity, urging authorities to ensure justice is delivered swiftly.
