Pampore, April 24: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Pulwama, in collaboration with the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, organized a district‑level orientation and sensitization programme titled “Pariksha Parv” 7.0 at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pampore, on Thursday.

The initiative—designed to address exam‑related stress among students—brought together educators, parents, and key stakeholders for an afternoon of discussion and practical guidance.

The event was inaugurated by CEO Pulwama Shabir Ahmad Khan and attended by Principal Nazir Ahmad Khan, Zonal Education Officer Shahnaz Ahmad, ZEPO Ghulam Rasool Khanday, and resource persons Rabia Naseem Moghal, Bilal Ahmad Wani, Kaisar Rafiq, and Tariq Abdullah, alongside a large gathering of teachers and parents.

In his opening remarks, Shabir Ahmad Khan explained that under the Pariksha Parv banner, the term “Board Examination” has been reframed as “Assessment”, reflecting a shift toward holistic evaluation. “Our aim is to help children overcome exam‑related anxiety by recognizing their diverse talents,” he said. “Today’s programme equips institutional leaders with strategies to support students’ mental well‑being and build a brighter future.”

Resource person Rabia Naseem Moghal urged families and schools to reduce undue academic pressure. “Think of exams as a celebration—like Eid—rather than a burden,” she advised. Moghal encouraged students to leverage technology wisely, manage their time, take short breaks, and seek help from parents or teachers when needed.

Fellow facilitator Bilal Ahmad Wani demonstrated simple breathing and mindfulness exercises, while Kaisar Rafiq and Tariq Abdullah led interactive sessions on time management and positive self‑talk.

Participants left with a toolkit of practical tips—from stress‑busting techniques to parent‑teacher communication protocols—that will be rolled out in classrooms and homes across Pulwama. The “Pariksha Parv” 7.0 series will continue district‑wide, reinforcing the message that a supportive environment and holistic assessment are the keys to student success.
