SRINAGAR, April 23 — The Jammu & Kashmir Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (JKBRSETI) Association has expressed profound shock and condemnation over the recent brutal attack on innocent tourists in Pahalgam.

Describing the violence as a direct assault on the cherished values of peace, hospitality, and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir, the Association affirmed that such cowardly acts have no place in society.

“We call upon all Kashmiris to stand united in grief and ensure that every visitor to our land feels safe, welcomed, and cared for,” the JKBRSETI Association said in a statement. “Let us safeguard the spirit of Kashmiriyat—love, tolerance, and mutual respect—so that no act of terror can undermine our shared humanity.”

The Association also urged the government and law-enforcement agencies to take swift, decisive action against the perpetrators and ensure that justice is delivered promptly. “To restore public confidence and uphold the rule of law, those responsible must be held accountable without delay,” the statement added.

As an institution dedicated to empowering rural communities across the Union Territory, JKBRSETI reaffirmed its commitment to peace and solidarity. “We will continue to work toward creating an environment where every individual—resident or visitor—feels secure and respected,” it concluded.
