Hajin: Timely and swift action by the Fire and Emergency Services Department saved lives and school property on Friday after a fire broke out in the kitchen of Government Middle School Bon Mohalla Hajin.
The incident occurred around 11:30 AM while mid-day meals were being prepared for students. Initial reports suggest a gas leak in the kitchen triggered the blaze.
Responding within just four minutes of the alert, the F&ES team managed to control the fire before it could spread to other parts of the school. Their swift action ensured the safety of students and staff and prevented property damage estimated to be in crores.
Locals and school authorities lauded the bravery and efficiency of the firemen, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for the department’s timely response.
EJAC UT Spokesperson Mir Bashir Ahmad also commended the department, stating, “We are immensely thankful to the F&ES Hajin for their timely response which saved precious lives and school property.
