Indian Army Promotes Heritage Awareness Along LoC in Gurez

Gurez, April 18: Marking World Heritage Day, the Indian Army organised a heritage awareness program in the Bagtore sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez, involving participation from local students.

During the event, students delivered speeches highlighting Kashmir’s rich heritage — a blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and cultural traditions. The aim was to inspire community efforts in preserving the region’s heritage sites.

Officials said the program was part of the Army’s continued efforts to engage with the local population and promote awareness about protecting natural and historical landmarks. The Army reaffirmed its commitment to supporting such community-driven conservation initiatives.
