Sumbal, Bandipora, April 11: The Janta Dal United (JDU) organized a joining event at its party office in Sumbal, with State Secretary GM Dar presiding over the function. Several workers from different areas joined the party and were formally welcomed into the fold.
Prominent party leaders, including Bilal Pathan (Nowgam Block President), Naseer Ahmad (Hajin Block President), and Shigufta (Incharge Sumbal Office), were present at the event and congratulated the new entrants.
Speaking on the occasion, GM Dar stressed the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots level. He called upon the new members to actively engage with the public and raise local issues with dedication, particularly in light of the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) and Panchayat elections.
“This is the time to connect with the people and represent their concerns. JDU is committed to inclusive development and transparent governance,” GM Dar said.
The event is part of JDU’s broader outreach campaign aimed at expanding its presence in North Kashmir and consolidating public support ahead of key elections. The leadership reiterated the party’s focus on public welfare and encouraged cadre-based activism to reach every corner of the region..
