Hajin, April 10: As part of the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign, the Municipal Committee Hajin on Wednesday organized an awareness program under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan to spread awareness about drug abuse and its harmful impact on society.
The event witnessed participation from a large number of local residents, civil society members, and youth. Executive Officer of Municipal Committee Hajin, Farhana Showkat, chaired the session and highlighted the role of community engagement in crbing the rising drug menace.
Experts from the Health Department, Social Welfare Department, and Drug De-addiction Centre addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in building a drug-free society. They spoke about early intervention, rehabilitation, and the role of families and educational institutions in prevention.
The program concluded with a pledge from attendees to work together for a healthier, addiction-free future in the region.
