Bandipora,31 March : On the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, the Indian Army’s Rana Battalion on Monday marked the auspicious occasion with great religious fervor, celebrating alongside border residents in the Bagtore area near the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez Valley, of Bandipora district.
In a gesture of solidarity and community spirit, the Army organized a special lunch for the local populace, which was attended by hundreds of residents. The Commanding Officer (CO) of the Rana Battalion engaged with the attendees, exchanging Eid greetings and strengthening the bond between the Army and the local community.
The initiative was met with heartfelt appreciation from the residents. Mukhtar Ahmad Lone, former BDC member from Kanzalwan, expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army, emphasizing the strong camaraderie between the soldiers and the locals. “We celebrate every occasion together—be it Holi, Diwali, or Eid. Our soldiers protect our borders, serving thousands of kilometers away from their homes, and we deeply respect their dedication. We hope for more such initiatives in the future,” he stated.
The event highlighted the mutual respect and strong ties between the Indian Army and the border communities, fostering an atmosphere of unity and goodwill during the festive season.
