Indian Army Conducts Awareness Lecture on Women-Centric Govt Schemes in Poonch

Poonch, March 26 – The Indian Army conducted an awareness lecture at Dupariya and Khanetar in Poonch to educate residents, particularly women, about various government welfare schemes aimed at socio-economic upliftment.

An official spokesperson said the event focused on informing locals about schemes related to health, financial assistance, education, and skill development, ensuring that beneficiaries from border villages are aware of their entitlements.

During the session, officials provided details on initiatives such as the Tejaswini Scheme, Kishor Shakti Yojna, Janani Suraksha Yojana, HIMAYAT-Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, Ladli Beti Scheme, Integrated Social Security Scheme, and Aayushman Bharat, among others. Special emphasis was given to programs that support women’s empowerment, financial inclusion, and healthcare access.

The lecture witnessed significant participation from locals, including elderly women who can play a key role in spreading awareness within their communities. The initiative reflects the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to foster social development and improve access to government welfare programs in remote areas.
